The national commission of Hajj of Nigeria (Nahcon) on Wednesday declared within five days, 35 flights successfully broadcast 14,165 Nigerian pilgrims in the reign of Saudi Arabia
which represent 34.4% of the expected total movement.
A declaration signed by the deputy director, information and publication, Fatima Sanda Usara, said that the states that concluded their aerial bridge include the states of Oyo, Abia, Kogi and Nasarawa.
He said that the states of Ondo and Ekiti were preparing for their final flights, which would be undertaken as a combined aerial bridge.
Nahcon has attributed the continuous success of aerial operations to full cooperation from the boards of administration of state pilgrims and wisdom in involving four airlines for this year’s air bridge.
He said to Madinah, the first series of pilgrims who arrived the kingdom should enter Makkah on Wednesday and start their Umrah for those who select Hajj Tumtt’i or qiran.
The declaration clarified that no official visa was released in Nigeria by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pursuant to Hajj’s agreement this year.
