20 Kano Athletes Died in a Car Accident

At least 20 athletes in the Kano state contingent for the National Sports Festival that had just been concluded died in a terrible car accident in the state on Saturday.

The athletes returned from the State of Ogun where the sports festival took place when they lost their lives in accidents that occurred on the Dakatsalle Bridge in the regional government of the turtle in the state canoe state.

The Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, Umar Fagge, confirmed the incident to reporters.

He said many other athletes were seriously injured in the accident.

Fagge said: “The bus carrying 30 athletes fell from the bridge, which caused the death of 20 athletes.

“When I spoke to you now, we have counted 19 bodies.”
