Nigeria faces a difficult challenge against Sudan in his next match of the African Nations Championship (Chan). The Super Eagles B side lost 1-0 against Senegal in its opening game.
Super Eagles B should beat Jediane’s hawks to keep their hopes of reaching the quarterfinals alive. Sudan, on the other hand, played a 1-1 draw in his first game.
Sudan chief coach James Kwesi Appiah said after the match against Congo:
“We have not had an active league at home, which has really affected the levels of the players. It is not about trust, they are simply not in a maximum physical form. We are fighting with muscle pulls, and there is a bit of tactical indiscipline that we must address. But, in general, I would not say it was a bad performance.”
He also emphasized the game against Nigeria, speaking of time for proper preparation:
“We have a week to prepare for Nigeria, and that gives me the opportunity to make the necessary adjustments and improve the team.”
Nigeria will face Sudan next Tuesday, August 12 at 6 pm.
