Nigeria’s Falconets will face either Japan or Austria in the round of 16 of this year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
The Falconets advanced to the first knockout round thanks to a convincing 4-0 win against Venezuela in their final group game on Saturday.
It was their second win in the group stage after opening their campaign with a 1-0 victory against South Korea.
After finishing second, the Falconets will now face the winner of Group E in the knockout round.
Japan, with six points, currently lead the group, while Austria, also with six points, are second.
The two teams, which have already qualified for the round of 16, will fight for first place.
