2025 Basketball Africa League League to present a record of six new teams

The Basketball League of Africa (BAL) (www.bal.nba.com) today announced the 12 teams and the game schedule (https://opo-opa.co/43ifbgs) For the opening stage of the fifth season of the League, which will advance with the phase of the Kalahari conference group from Saturday, April 5 to Sunday, April 13 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, Morocco.

The 2025 BAL season, which will feature three regular seasonal phases and culminate with the playoffs and finals at the Sunbet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa in June, will have a record of six BL participants for the first time, including the first Bal de Cape Verde teams (Kriol Star Basketball) and Kenya Champion Monstir (Tunisia). Each conference will play a group phase of 12 games during which each team will face the other three teams in their conference twice. During the group phase game, the local team in each country will play in all games.

In the first game of the season, Stade Malien (Mali) will face the Hoopers (Nigeria) Rivers at 4:00 pm GMT+1. In the second game, local team Fath Union Sport (FUS; Morocco) will face Al Ittihad (Egypt) at 7:00 pm GMT+1. Eight teams from all three conferences will travel to Pretoria for four sowing games followed by an eight -games game and unique elimination finals from Friday, June 6 to Saturday, June 14.
