2026 World Cup Qualifier: Green Cape affects Fifa Wrath

The world football body body, FIFA, delivered a fine of 5,000 CHF to Cape Verde following an invasion of the shooting by the fans during their qualifying game of the Fifa World Cup against Cameroon.

The accident occurred on September 9, after Cape Verde obtained a 1-0 victory fought on the indomitable lions.

The supporters of the ecstatic house were on the field on the field, pushing Fifa to take disciplinary actions against blue sharks.

In response to the penalty, the football federation of Cape Verdean appealed to fans to maintain order and discipline, in particular with their next qualifier against Eswatini set for October 13th.

The Federation underlined the importance of avoiding further infringements that could attract heavier penalties, including potential bans of the stadium.

Cape Verde is currently in a strong position in their qualifying group of the World Cup and the Federation is eager to ensure that off -field distractions do not derail their campaign.
