2027: APC defends a record amid increasing criticism, saying ‘Patriotic Nigeria’ still supports the party

When criticism increases over the Fence governance from the theruling of all the progressive congress (APC), especially under the current government, the party has shot back to the opposition parties – making Nigerians vote based on performance, not propaganda, in 2027.

The Lagos APC state chapter issued a statement that was very words on Tuesday, trying to reject the viral press release from the Democratic Party opposition (PDP), who had stated: “No Nigeria Patriotic will choose APC in 2027.”

In response, the Secretary of the State Publicity of Lagos APC, Mr. Seye Oladejo, called the position of PDP as “politically charged and deliberately misleading,” and accusing opposition of trying to distract from his own failure.

“Our attention has been focused on a press release that is politically charged and deliberately misleading titled ‘No Patriotic Nigeria will choose APC in 2027’ from the PDP opposition cage that is staggered, cut off and almost died,” said Oladejo.

“While such rhetoric can be headlines, it has no substance and objectivity,” he added, emphasizing:
“APC firmly rejected this effort to smear our party and wrongly describe millions of Nigerians Patriotic, who supported us.”

But APC’s efforts to project trust in coming when public dissatisfaction increased sharply, most of the deteriorating economic conditions, unsafe, and terminated termination between government promises and the reality of life. Critics argue that what the party called the “track record” of the party has given more difficulties than Hope.

However, Oladejo stated that APC would be considered good in 2027:
*When 2027 approached, we were sure that the Nigerians would judge all parties not by propaganda or emotional explosions, but with track records, objectives, and capacity to lead. In all this, APC will stand tall. “

He further argues that patriotism should not be politicized.

“To emphasize that no Patriotic Nigeria will choose APC in 2027 not only presumptuous but also very insulting the intelligence of voters,” he said. “Nigeria is smart, and they understand that governance is a complex and developing task, which requires patience, vision, and adaptability.”

According to Oladejo, APC deserves credit for reforms in fields such as infrastructure, digital economy, social investment, and agriculture – regardless of the fact that critics have accused the party to lead more extensive inequality, loss of jobs, and granting slow policies.

“APC continues to provide responsive leadership to the challenges faced by our country, and reforms are ongoing to further stabilize the economy, curb insecure, and create inclusive growth,” Oladejo said.

Even when defending his notes, APC said he welcomed the opposite view – despite stopping to recognize the level of disappointment among Nigerians.

“We welcome the debate, constructive criticism, and strong involvement,” said Oladejo. “What we refuse is an effort to monopolize patriotism or suggest that political loyalty is the only test of national loyalty.”

When the 2027 election approach, many Nigerians will watch not only what APC said, but what they convey – especially as inflation, currency devaluation, and widespread frustration continue to form national discourse.
