Media Assistant for Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has warned former vice president and presidential candidate from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, opposed to run for president in 2027 because he would return to fail again.
Olayinka who gave Atiku a warning in a post on her Facebook page on Thursday, said Atiku would deceive himself if he thought he had the opportunity to become president in 2027 after the previous six efforts ended in failure.
Olayinka stated that 2027 would be an attempt to fail the seventh Atiku if he fought for the president and accused Atiku of stopping lying to himself after six previous failed attempts in presidence.
“Six efforts that failed in the presidency, he would not still stop lying despite his age. 2027 will definitely be the seventh effort that failed,” wrote Olayinka.
Olayinka’s comments came to Atiku’s statement on Tuesday during an interview with journalists, Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie from county Stories, that he had no regrets because he did not choose Wike as his partner for the 2023 election.
In the interview, Atiku also mentioned that he was not sure whether he would run for president in 2027.
“I don’t know because I have to, first -first, a decent platform, more than other times in the political history of this country, especially since the return of democracy,” Atiku hinted.
However, he, however, did not rule out the possibility of still nominating himself as president in 2027, said Nigeria needed a good leader.
“I haven’t seen Nigeria who really need it, you know, experienced and credible leadership from now on,” he said.
In the previous post on Wednesday, Olanyinka had mocked Atiku for his uncertainty in nominating himself as president again.
“Two years after making the PDP lose in the presidential election he could win, Atiku gave the reason he did not choose Wike as his partner and that he was not sorry.
“Someone must tell the contest for our serial presidential election that Wike also does not regret ensuring that he failed in the election and would ensure that he failed again and again.
Dazzol, “he posted.
