Three officers of the Narcotics Law Enforcement Agency (Ndlea) had been treated in the hospital with a gunshot wound after an attack by criminals during the attack on Abuja.
The Director of the Ndlea Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, said in a statement on Friday that officers were attacked in the Jahi area in the Federal Capital Region (FCT), Abuja.
He added that the incident occurred during the raid in a building that has not been completed in the NNPC Jahi area, following intelligence and supervision reports.
Items that are restored in the operation include 74 bottles of codeine, 10 liters of Codeine syrup, 48 grams of 225mg tramadol, 4.9 kilograms of skunk, and five Android phones.
The spokesman noted that when the team came out of the location, they were under shots.
Babafemi said: “Three officers suffered a shot injury – one in the ribs, and the other two behind and legs.
“They were first stabilized at the police clinic in Garki Area 1, before being transferred to the National Hospital, Abuja, for further treatment.
“The Chairman of Ndlea, Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa (RETD), expressed his gratitude to the police clinic staff for their quick response.
“He also thanked the Head of the Medical Director of the National Hospital for personally watching the care of officers after being contacted.”
