At least 390 Boko Haram rebels who converted have graduated from the de-radicalization program, rehabilitation, and reintegration of the federal government in the state of Gombe, after that they will be integrated back into the community.

General Christopher Musa who led the graduation ceremony held at the Sidi Night Training Center in the Kwami Regional Government in the state on Friday, said intensive training was to accelerate the reintegration of graduates into the community and prevent them from returning to crime and rebellion.
The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, who spoke to new graduates, said the Federal government was committed to overcoming insecurity in the country.
Umar represented by the Director of Nema’s Search and Rescue, CDR Air. Abang Oyong, praised the resilience of the Nigerian armed forces for using a kinetic and non-cinetic approach in the war against terrorism and extremism of violence in the country.
He also praised the President of the Tinubu Bola for having political will and to approve the expansion of the program to cover six geo-political zones, especially with the inclusion of northwest and the establishment of the de-radicalization, rehabilitation and reintegration camps in the state of Zamfara.
As a take -off grant to facilitate graduates into the community, the starter package with the number of N50,000 is donated to them along with various food items including 400 25kg rice bags, 400 25kg corn bags, 400 bottles of vegetable oil, 40 cartons of seasoning, and 40 cartons of tomato plastic, 20 Iodised salt bags, 400 pieces. 800 piok.
According to Umar, goods will help stabilize terrorists who repent after the DRR program and allow their smooth reintegration into the community.
