Abdulrahman Ayibo defeated his counterpart of the host state, Delta, to ensure the gold medal in the male singles for the Lagos team at the National Stadium Stephen Keshi, Asaba.

Esther Idowu Esho added to the transport of the medal for Team Lagos by ensuring the first silver medal winning four consecutive rounds in the -47 kg category.
