Di Marzio – Napoli president wants 70 million euros + Lukaku for Osimhen and rejects Chelsea’s loan request

Victor Osimhen’s future is far from settled according to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio following reports linking the Nigerian with a move to Chelsea in a swap deal that involves Romelu Lukaku moving in the other direction to Napoli. GolNigeria.com own reports.

Di Marzio said there has been tension in the relationship between PSG and Napoli after the rejection of his €200m bid for both Osimhen and Kvara Kvaratskhelia.

PSG have not since submitted a new offer solely for Osimhen but Napoli are hoping one will come soon, a situation which he says opened the door for Chelsea to make a loan proposal that has been rejected by Napoli, due to an option to buy clause rather than an obligation to buy.

Should Chelsea agree to a deal with an obligation to buy, Napoli say they value Lukaku at €30m, so will demand an additional €70m from Chelsea on top of add-ons, which include UEFA Champions League qualification and increasing the fee to the €120m Napoli are demanding.

However, it is not expected to be a straightforward deal and any decision will have to be made until mid-August, when Napoli will have returned from their third and final training camp before the start of next season.
