Tinubu appoints new heads for seven institutions and programs

President Bola Tinubu has seven people to lead strategic agencies and programmes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said the appointment would facilitate needed assistance to Nigerians and ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programmes.

The President appointed Dr. Badamasi Lawal as Chief Executive, National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA).

Lawal holds a doctorate in education, and previously served as a commissioner in Katsina State.

Ms Funmilola Olotu was appointed as Program Manager, National Social Safety Net Coordination Office.

Olotu has a master’s degree in business administration, and he is the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on state lotteries.

Additionally, Ms. Aishat Alubankudi has been appointed as Program Manager, Grants for Vulnerable Groups while Putri Aderemi Adebowale will serve as Program Manager, School Feeding in the Country.

Adebowale, who has a doctorate, is the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Community Engagement and previously served as a local government chairman.

Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam was appointed as Program Manager, National Cash Assistance Office and Mr. Ayuba Gufwan, Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities.

Mrs. Lami Binta Adamu Bello was appointed as Director General, National Agency for the Eradication of Human Trafficking (NAPTIP).
