As part of the activities that marked the two -year anniversary of the administration of President Ahmed Tinubu, the state of Sokoto attended a barrage of high -profile commissioning ceremonies led by important political characters in the country
The main political figures who commissioned projects included the Governor of the State of Yobe Malam Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of the State of Kogi, Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Special Senior Assistant of the President in Political Machines and other issues, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari.
From clean water and modern roads to governance and digital homes, the results revealed to Sokoto are a testimony of intentional leadership and intergovernmental collaboration.
In a bold thrust to improve public health and infrastructure, the Sokoto State Government has commissioned a water supply project of N2.3 billion N2.3 billion in the old airport area of the state capital.
The project, capable of providing three million liters of clean water every day, was officially inaugurated by the Governor Buni, who described it as “a significant milestone in promoting public health and improving life”.
“Access to clean water has always been a challenge in many communities,” said Governor Buni.
“This investment is a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to improve the well -being of its people”.
In his observations, the sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, praised the effort of the government that underlines the significant humanitarian access to water.
“Whoever gives water gives life”, exhorting the citizen to safeguard the structures and continue to support leaders through prayers and unity.
Previously in his speech, the governor of the state of Sokoto, dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, he observed that the initiative is one of the six water schemes, which collectively worth n14.1 billion people who have been completed under his administration.
Ahmed Aliyu has attributed the former governor Aliyu Matatakarda Wamakko for starting the projects and has reaffirmed the decision of his government to complete all the inherited development initiatives.
To mitigate the future water deficiency, the governor Aliyu has announced significant updates at the Sokoto State Water Board, including the replacement of obsolete equipment and the supply of alternative energy solutions.
In a separate ceremony, the Governor of the State of Yobe has commissioned multimilionary the center of Sokoto’s geographical information system (dreams) of Naira, aimed at guiding the digital transformation into the administration of the territory

Speaking while revealing the center, the governor of the state of Sokoto, Dr. Aliyu underlined the modernization of state administration processes of the state, affirming,
“Sogis is now fully automated, offering faster, safer and transparent services for investors and landowners.” the governor explained
