APC set 24 July for the NEC meeting to elect the new president

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) for July 24 to elect a new national president.

This follows the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, with the national vice president (North), Ali Dalori, enters the interim national president.

Speaking with journalists on Monday at the APC National Secretary in Abuja, the national deputy secretary of the party, Festus Fuanter, said that the NEC meeting would be used to appoint and elect a new president. He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INC) has already been informed of the scheduled meeting.
