Okpebholo launched a special task force to water the kidnapper, cult in Edo

The Governor of the State Edo, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has launched a new security initiative called Operation issuing kidnappers and worship, which aims to handle increasing insecurity throughout the state.

The governor, who launched an operation on Sunday, also approved the formation of a special task force to hunt for criminal elements – especially kidnappers and worship – who had terrorized the community.

In a statement issued by the Head Secretary of the Head, Fred Diaha, the Governor revealed that the initiative would be encouraged by the Office of the Principal Security Officer (PSO) to the Governor, working in close coordination with the Chief Security Officer (CSO) at the Government Building.

Re -emphasizing the strong attitude of his government about insecurity, Okpebholo stated: “We will not allow crimes to dictate the future of our country. Edo state must be safe again for our children, for investors, and for those in the diaspora who want to go home and contribute.”

He added that all security agents have now been placed on red warnings and are fully assigned to work with new task groups.

The Governor of Okpebholo has also directed PSO and CSO to ensure full launch and operation enforcement, with a clear emphasis on accountability, professionalism, and community collaboration.

According to reports, a special squad will consist of strictly examined individuals, including reformed worship, local hunters, and members of the community’s own vigilant group. These personnel will be deployed as a tactical team in each regional government region, giving a fast and locally informed response to the threats that arise.

This step indicates the intention of the Okpebholo government to take action that determines and is rooted in the community to insecurity in the state of Edo.
