Lastued Appears the winner of Lagos Campus Beach Soccer 2025

It was a thrilling and pleasant Saturday, July 26, when soccer fans who served at ATICAN BEACH, Lekki, in large quantities to enjoy the beautiful game at Lagos Campus Beach Soccer 2025.

After hours of the intense competition on a hot sandy beach, accompanied by music, the Lagos State University of Education (Lasued) appeared as the winner of the gold medal, after getting the highest number of points in all matches.

Lasued defeated Lagos City Polytechnic 1-0 in their opening match and held the University of Lagos (Unilag) with a goalless draw in a tense last meeting.

Although Unilag fought bravely in all tournaments, a back-to-back draw against Lasued and Lagos City Polytechnic destroyed their gold medal hopes, making Akoka-based teams a silver medal.

Lagos City Polytechnic finished third-marked their strongest performances in campus level sports competitions to date.

This tournament was marked by a senior special assistant for the Sanwo-Olu Governor about the development of grassroots sports, Mr. Adebanji Atewogboye, who reiterated the government’s dedication to improving the quality and reach of the edition in the future.

Organized by the state government in collaboration with the Brandescort Communications, the Lagos Campus Beach soccer tournament unites tertiary institutions from all states in the celebration of sports and athletic talents.

To be the first edition, it was collected that the plan had taken place to expand the tournament in 2026 by inviting higher institutions from other states to participate.

This tournament is designed to find and highlight young soccer players who are promising from tertiary institutions in the state and surrounding areas.
