Naira obtained N0.97 against dollars in the official window

Nigerian currency, Naira, appreciated the US dollar in an official window on Thursday.

Foreign exchange data of Bank Nigeria Bank central bank (CBN) shows that Naira is closed on N1, 533.55/$ 1 compared to N1, 534.52/$ 1 which is traded on Wednesday.

This is the advantage of N0.97 for local currencies against American Greenback.

In the black market, Naira lost N15 to the dollar to be traded in N1,565/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.550/$ 1.

Naira, however, obtained the N10 against the British pound to trade at N2.115/£ 1 compared to the previous day level N2.125/£ 1.

Local currency closed flat against Canadian dollars to be traded at N1.200/Ca $ 1.

It also closes flatly against the euro to be traded in ₦ 1,800/€ 1.
