The native of Biafra (IPOB), has challenged the Nigerian army to sue the suspect he said was a member of the East Security Network (ESN) in court.
The army last week claimed to have arrested 13 IPOB members during the attack on the state of Delta and accused that the people were involved in activities related to terrorism and separatist violence.
But the Biafra Agitation Group, in a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary of the Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, denied claims by the army.
The group insisted that they were not members of the IPOB or militant wing, they did not have camps in that state.
Strong, which illustrates the claim by the military a propaganda war, dare to sue the suspects to court, with a warning that will take legal action if the army fails to demand individuals to court within seven days.
“Let’s state firmly and for the record: IPOB does not have a hiding place, camp or terror cells anywhere in the land of Biafra, especially in the Delta State,” wrote a strong.
“We are the peaceful, urban-based indigenous peoples, and are rooted in the family. We do not live in bushes; we have a house, build a community, and uphold values.

“We challenge the Commander of the Military Operations to produce 13 ‘IPOB suspects’ in a competent jurisdiction court within 7 days … If not, we will begin a lawsuit that impose this military commander to appear before the judge to maintain his careless lies under oath.”
This group further accused Arrmy Bias and misplaced priority, stating that the government had ignored the threats of armed groups such as Boko Haram, Iswap, and Bandits in the northern and central belts of the country, while focusing their energy on the targeting of IPOB in the south.
“While Boko Haram, Iswap, Fulani Herdsmen, and Bandit Terrorists continue to damage the northern and central belts that are uncontrolled, the Nigerian Army is busy invading imaginary images in the south. How ridiculous. How sad.
“Therefore, we warn the Nigerian Army, the police, and intelligence head of their Janjawweed to quit their futile efforts to connect IPOB with crime.
“Ipob has no relationship with violence, terrorism, or crime. We do not bomb trains. We do not kidnap school children. We do not cut off soldiers.
“Let the state of Nigeria and the handling focus on their collapsed economy, their unpaid salaries, their security explosion, and their international reputation that is destroyed. Stop chasing shadows in the land of Biafra,” he said.
