The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has summoned members of the IBOMSon water cabin crew and the comfort of Emmanson passengers for further questions after the viral incident that occurred on the Uyo -Lagos flight on August 10.
In wide circulating videos, Emmanson was seen being dragged by airline staff during the flight, triggered national debates and concerns about airline behavior and passenger behavior.
Speaking on Tuesday during the ongoing Emergency National Civil Aviation Committee and a meeting of stakeholders in Abuja, Director of Public Affairs and NCAA Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, confirmed that the problem had entered a new stage of investigation.
“I spoke with Ms. Emmanson this morning. We also invited the IBOM air cabin crew for a continuing investigation of the incident. They will be here tomorrow,” Achimugu said while responding to questions after his presentation.
He explained that the pilot-in-command did not immediately remind the security operators after landing at Lagos because the problem appeared resolved before the plane left Uyo. However, Emmanson reportedly visited the restroom after Touchdown and became the last passenger who came down, attracting new attention to this problem.
Achimugu convinces the stakeholders that NCAA is committed to uncovering the complete details. He stressed that the authority would not leave the stone that was missed in his investigation to determine what was true -actually happened during controversial flights.

Also discussed the meeting, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, Chair of the Senate Committee on Flights, referred to the indiscipline among several air travelers and deviations in professional behavior by members of the crew and airport staff as a factor behind the increasing cases of behavior that could not be regulated in the industry.
He warned of deliberate violations of aviation rules but praised NCAA to maintain the vigilance of regulations. Abdulfatai urged other institutions in this sector to complete the authority efforts to strengthen the discipline and safety in the Nigerian aviation space.
