Naseni: Nigeria who makes progress under Tinubu, we have sure …

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (Nasens) states that Nigeria has witnessed unprecedented progress in the technology transfer under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, with over 1,000 questions of global companies received in a year.

The executive vice -president of Nasens, Khalil Halilu, made this known during the interactive session of Tinubu with the Nigerians in Japan, held on the sidelines of the international conference of Tokyo on African development (Ticad) last week.

According to Halilu, the accelerated technology transfer program approved by Tinubu has already attracted $ 2 billion of commitments, while simplifying the candidacy process through an online platform without continuity.

“We have gone from being a research and development agency with only prototypes on the shelf to an implementation agency with 40 products ready for the market,” said Halilu.

He revealed that Naseni signed an agreement with a Japanese company in the nanotechnology sector, which would have established four factories in Nigeria.

He expressed optimism that more Japanese companies would take advantage of the qualifying policies to invest in the country.

Halilu also highlighted ongoing projects including a renewable industrial park of 40 hectares, a assembly system of electric vehicles and other initiatives based on technology designed to increase industrialization and create jobs.

He attributed these results to the policies of the president, who according to him had opened the doors of Nigeria to the diasporan and foreign investors eager to collaborate with the country in critical sectors.

The chief of Nasens has ensured potential full -support investors, underlining that Nigeria is ready to provide a qualifying environment for technology transfer and sustainable industrial growth.
