Africa must build joint-terrorism capacity-CDs …

The head of the defense staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, urged the African military to urgently strengthen the joint anti -terrorism, the computer defense and the intelligence sharing systems to face the growing threats to the safety of the continent.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Summit of Africa of Defense (ACDSS) of Abuja, in Abuja, he warned that Musa warned that terrorism, organized crime, piracy, conflicts related to the climate, IT war and artificial intelligence were remodeling the panorama of Africa security.

“The threats they face are without borders, asymmetrical and digital. Africa must increase with equally dynamic responses based on units, shared intelligence and joint operations,” he said.

The CDs stressed that no single country could be alone against these challenges, asking concrete operational paintings and the development of an African-industrial indigenous base.

He reaffirmed the commitment of Nigeria to maintain peace, anti -terrorism and humanitarian missions across the continent.

“Our fallen heroes must inspire us to build strong armed forces, responsible and focused on people,” added Musa.

Defense Minister, Muhammed Badaru, represented by the Minister of State, Belo Matawalle, greeted the CDs for his leadership in convening the summit, describing it as a milestone in the defense diplomacy of Africa.

President Bola Tinubu also praised for his continuous support for the armed forces of Nigeria, observing that the summit reflected the collective determination of Africa to strengthen regional cooperation and guarantee continental peace and security.
