The Nigerian government said that the giant jollof effort Hilda Baci showed Nigeria’s global talent

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has praised Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci for his sustainable business to determine the new Guinness world record by cooking the largest Jollof Rice Pot in the world.

Speaking through the Director General of the Nigerian Advertising Council (Arcon), Dr. Olarekan Fadolapo, at an event held on Friday at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, the minister described the initiative as “another demonstration of Nigeria’s global excellence.”

Baci, who became famous in 2023 after breaking the world record of Guinness for the longest cooking marathon with 93 hours achievements, was making a new challenge with a special -made pot of six meters. Idris praised his determination, saying his efforts to realize perseverance, discipline, and spirit of resilience of Nigeria.

“The federal government praised Hilda Baci’s extraordinary efforts in placing Nigeria once again on a global map. His dedication for his excellence and pursuit of great greatness -his enestation exemplifies the spirit of Nigeria that is valued in the world,” Idris said. He further recorded a strict professionalism and compliance with cleaning standards, which he described as a reflection of “quality and integrity that defines Nigeria’s superiority.”

The Minister also urged Nigerian youth to imitate Baci’s discipline, creativity, and commitment, emphasizing that his journey shows how talent can be utilized for personal growth and national pride. He expressed optimism that his business would inspire the new generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.

On behalf of the President of Bola Tinubu, Idris hopes Baci will succeed in his efforts, describing the ending victory as not only personal, but “Collective National Achievement.”
