The substitute for the arrest time strike of Emmanuel Israel sealed the three points for the hosts, delivering to Tornado its second defeat of the season.
Speaking after the game, Tornado Chief coach Mohammed Majin praised the resistance of his players despite the reverse, noting that football often offers painful lessons.
“I want to appreciate the effort of the players; they did everything possible, but at the end of the day, they succumbed.”
“That is football for you. You want some, you lose some, and even the final beep, it is not over. In total, we stay with our game plan and we appreciate everything,” Majin said.
The coach dismissed the suggestions to spend the time of his players, emphasizing that the tornadoes always set out to win each game.
“As far as we are concerned, we are not going to any party with the mentality of a draw.”
“We are going to win absolutely, and the result we get, we take it in good faith. You cannot qualify the pain of the players as time passes; you are not in the field to know for what they are happening,” he explained.
Reflecting on the late goal admitted, Majin admitted that his team could have briefly lost the concentration.
“It does not end until it ends. Maybe that is what the players thought, that we had finished the game and the referee had not flown the whistle, and that is how we admit that dying goal.”
“That is unfortunate, but we are taking it in good faith and we will go home to collect our three points, which is very crucial to us,” he added.
Despite the defeat, the tornadoes remain sixth in the NPFL table with six points, waiting for the results of other centers on Sunday, September 14.
Then they will organize the city of Ikorodu on September 21, since their goal is to return to the winning forms.
