The results of Saharareportters showed that Direct Trucking Company Limited is a new logistics company established by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, in collaboration with Alhaji Sayyu aliu Dantata, president of Mrs Energy Limited.

According to reports, the Autotrasporti company was created to provide fuel and related products directly to filling stations and entrepreneurs, thus reducing dependence on third -party transporters.

One of the letters obtained by Saharareportters was written by a driver, Musa Adamu Sabo, and addressed to the company’s managing director. In the letter dated August 1, 2025, Sabo declared his disinterest in being a member of Nupeng.

“Me, Mr. Musa Adamu Sabo, freely and without prejudices, I do not want to be a member of Nupeng and I humbly ask that all my shares and the rights are paid and deposited in my bank account starting from 01-08-2025,” he wrote.

The development comes at a time when the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (Pengassan) and Nupeng were blocked in a part of the work with Dangote Group, accusing the company of working in anti-maesters.

On September 7, Nupeng said that the Direct Truck Driver Association (DTCDA) was created by Alhaji Dantata, owner of the Mrs, in collaboration with Alhaji Dangote for the functioning of 10,000 CNG trucks imported into the country.

He observed that the association, initially destined to be appointed Dangote Transport Company, is recorded at 2, Tin Can Island Port Road, Apapa, Lagos, the same address as Mrs Energy Limited.

“Dtcda is the association formed by Alh Sayyu aliu Dantata, the owner of the lady. The limited self -portable company is the recruitment company that was formed by him and Alh Aliko Dangote for the 10,000 CNG trucks that are importing,” he said.

β€œWe want the [general] The public to find out that Alh Sayyu aliu Dantata is the founder, the slave owner and the Slaves financier of the Direct Trucking Company Driver Association (DTCDA) and is hosting this association in his official headquarters of the company “, added Nupeng in the declaration.

“SchiavitΓΉ ended centuries ago, but some unscrupulous capitalists are making efforts to bring it back. Any worker who cannot exercise the right of association is not better than a slave. Ordinary Nigerians should neither encourage nor support slave working conditions.”

β–  background

At the end of September 2025, the oil and gas sector of Nigeria was shaken by a work crisis that contracted the Dongote group against Pengassan.

The dispute was focused on the sudden dismissal of over 800 workers in the refinery of dance, many of whom according to what reported had recently unions under Pengassan.

The union accused the management of the refinery of anti-work practices, claiming that Nigerian workers were replaced with foreign citizens and penalized for the exercise of their right to trade unions.

In response, Pengassan declared a strike at national level on Sunday 28 September, directing its members to cut the supplies of gas and crude oil to refinery.

The negotiations began seriously, with the federal government that entered to mediate. The interviews initially blocked, but by Tuesday 30 September, the discussions had moved to the office of the national security consultant.

A turning point was reached in the early hours of Wednesday 1 October. The Dangote Group has agreed to redistribute workers disengaged to other branches within its conglomerate, without loss of salary or benefits.

The agreement also guaranteed that no worker would be victimized for their role in the dispute.

In a press conference in Abuja later that day, the president of Pengassan Festus Osifo announced the suspension of the strike.

He stressed that the union was not canceling everything but simply putting it waiting.

“We are suspending and we will monitor carefully,” Ospifo warned.

“Any postponement by Dangote, any part of this agreement or any press release presented by the Ministry of Labor which is broken, we will not give any notice; we will resume this suspended industrial action”.

The attempts of Saharareportters to contact Anthony Chiejina, director of company communications of the Dangote Group, proved without success since his line was not available for a long time.
