Representatives took the oath of three new parliamentary members

The DPR on Tuesday installed three new members.

DPR Speaker Abbas Tajudeen announced the presence of the new member at the plenary session in Abuja.

Three members of the Congress of All Progressive (APC) – Omosede Igbinedion (Edo), Felix Bagudu (Kaduna), and Murktar Rabiu (Jigawa) – were delivered to the green space by the DPR Registrar under the supervision of the speaker.

The Independent National Election Commission (Inec) in August stated that Igbinedion was the winner of the interim election in the Ovia Federal Electoral District in the Edo state.

Igbinedion collected a total of 77,053 votes to win the seat, which became empty in September 2024 after the emergence of Dennis Idahosa as Deputy Governor of the State.

Bagudu, who replaced the late Ekene Adams from the Labor Party from the Federal Chikun – Kajuru constituent in the state of Kaduna, gathered a total of 34,580 votes to win the voting.

The third member, Rabiu from the Federal Garki/Babura constituents in Jigawa, gathered 38,449 votes to win the interrupted elections in the electoral area.
