Former Crystal Palace teenage sensation and former Nigeria U20 wildcard Ademola Ola-Adebomi is pushing to be included in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming Unity Cup tournament in England, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

The 22-year-old joins Austrian WSG Tirol this summer on a permanent contract from Palace, where he was an under-21 player but has already made his first-team debut and also trained with the senior team a couple of times.

In Austria he has earned a reputation as a powerful striker who is very good at holding up play and has scored three goals and three assists in 20 games this season.

Although he is interested in increasing his numbers for the modest team, his agent says he fits well into the Eric Chelle system of the Nigerian senior team.

“I see that Chelle plays with a two-man attack and that is perfect for Ola. The numbers are quite decent for a modest team in Austria and he has hopes of getting a chance for the Unity Cup, because the coach wants to give opportunities to players from less valued but competitive leagues. He is an English boy and will not need administrative assistance to be in London,” said his representative.
