Former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has vowed that as long as he lives, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election, will never become Nigeria’s president.
The self-styled socio-political activist, in a post on his X account, said the former Anambra state governor does not even believe in his party’s manifesto and is more aligned with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He went on to claim that it was through his efforts that Obi was made the running mate for Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 presidential election and vowed that such a thing would never happen again in future elections as he would do everything possible to ensure that Obi was not on the presidential ticket.
“I will support President Tinubu’s policies which are also stated in the manifesto of the People’s Democratic Party. I will do so with pride and patriotism,” the post read in part.
“Even Peter Obi was nominated as PDP 2019 by the grace of God with my efforts. And he could not refuse it because I am a meticulous note taker and keep written records.
“Peter Obi doesn’t even believe in the official manifesto of the Labour Party. He is more politically sensitive than we in the PDP.

“So, develop emotional maturity and learn how to deal with politics, or you will FOREVER be marginalized if you play politics with your emotions.
“During elections, politicians and their strategists will attack each other. It’s all part of how politics is played. After elections, we move from a battleground to a meeting ground.
“The only politicians and movements I cannot forgive are those who threatened to kill my daughter, physically came to my house in the hope of intimidating me, made false allegations against me, used Arise TV as a propaganda machine against me, and stalked and approached me on the street warning me not to mess with Peter Obi.
“There are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. However, with the death threats against my son, and with their leaders remaining silent when it became known, there is permanent enmity.
“Peter Obi will NEVER be President of Nigeria, and we will fight to ensure that even if he returns to the PDP, he will NOT get our ticket. But more than that, we will move forward with one Nigeria!”
