The Games of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Fisu World University are establishing a new reference point for sustainability and long-term impact on international university sports.
This vision was clearly described in a press event held at the Tieranatomisches Theater in Humboldt-Universität Zu Berlin. Under the theme ‘Legacy and Sustainability’, prominent figures of politics, sports and academia gathered to discuss the positive effects that games will have in Germany, university sports and society.
Scheduled to take place from July 16 to 27, 2025, in six cities, including Berlin, the games will have sports such as swimming, diving and volleyball. Berlin, with its top -level sports infrastructure, will organize approximately 2,000 athletes competing in medals, which makes it an ideal environment for the sustainable and efficient organization of these events.
