ACF urged politicians to put aside the ambitions of 2027, overcoming many Nigerian problems

The Arwa Consultative Forum (ACF) has strongly condemned the initial political maneuvers by Nigerian politicians ahead of the 2027 general election, describing it as very insensitive given the determination of the country’s determination.

Speaking during the ACF National Executive Committee meeting which was held on Thursday in Kaduna, the Chair of the Forum, Alhaji Mamman Osuman, criticized what he called “premature political,” urged political actors to prioritize the needs of urgent citizens rather than personal ambitions.

“Individual speech and media exposure relating to the next 2027 selection have about air waves. This momentum must take back burners while the emphasis is placed in a government that discusses our daily suffering -our people -caused by Brigandage, Terrorism, kidnapping, mass vows, hunger, and knife, and Osani,” Osuman, “Osum,” Osum, “Osum,”, osuman, and Osani, and Osani.

With the incidence of violence and insecurity that increased throughout the country, ACF expressed deep concern over new attacks in the highlands, Borno, and Edo.

Osuman specifically referenced the resurrection of terror in Bokkos, the murder of the northern people in Uromi, and recently carried out a boko haram attack in northeast, describing them as indicators of fragile national security architecture.

This forum also refers to a broader socio-economic pressure, including towering recessions, surge, and declining health care systems. “Our people are wrestling with a real survival problem. Now is not the time to be disturbed by the game of power,” Osuman stressed.

In the call for ethical leadership and social justice, ACF urged its members and national leaders to imitate global icons such as Martin Luther King Jr., Indira Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela by standing firmly for the truth and advocating for people who were less represented in North Nigeria.

This forum further discusses tensions related to boundaries, especially land disputes between Kogi and the state of Enugu for the ETTE community. This appealed to the National Border Commission to accelerate the demarcation process to prevent the escalation of hostility. “ACF actively involves the Director General of the Commission to ensure peace returns to affected areas,” Osuman said.

ACF asks the government at all levels to support victims of violence and land conflicts and confirm that “those who want to lead Nigeria must first show respect for the rule of law.”
