Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said:
β€œIn General, Refraining from what causes punishment in the grave is the best way to avoid being punished. A person must sit for a While Before he goes to bed and hold holding account for what he gained during that day and what he lost, then renew his sincere sudden to allh and sleep After Having Repentad, and when he Wakes Up, be determined not to commit the same sins again. what he has lost.

The prophet informed us of some means that will save us from punishment in the tomb:
Β· Salmaan Al-Faarisi narrated that the prophet said: Ribat (guarding the first line of the Muslim army) for a day is better (in reward) than fasting for a whole month and praying during his nights; And the one who dies while in that position will have the reward of the actions he was doing to continue (until the day of the resurrection) and will be saved from the punishment of the tomb. ” [Muslim]Β· One of the prophet’s companions asked the prophet “why are all people tried in their tombs except martyrs?” He replied: The flashing light of the swords above the head is quite proof. [An-Nasaai]

Β· Al-Miqdaad Ibn Ma’Dyakrib has narrated that the prophet said: the martyr has seven qualities that Allah grants him: he will be forgiven with the first drop of his blood, he will see his place in paradise, he will be saved from the ficanza of the ficanza of the tomb, will be saved by the great horror (the day of the resurrection), will be jumped, which will be saved by the faith. of Paradise, and he will be allowed to intercede his family by seventy. [Ibn Maajah].

In another narrative he said: The crown of dignity will be placed on his (i.e. the martyr’s head), every corindone (of which) is better than this world and everything it contains; He will have seventy -two wives from the women of Paradise and will be allowed to intercede by seventy of his family. [At-Tirmithi]Β· Abu Hurayrah has narrated that the prophet said: there is a chapter in the Koran (Al-Mulk) who has thirty verses; It will intercept for those who recite it continuously, until it is forgiven. [An-Nasaai and Ibn Maajah]. This Hadeeth (narration), and others who have the same meaning, show that those who regularly recite the al-Mulk chapter and apply what is in it will be saved from punishment in the tomb.
Β· The prophet said: He who dies due to a stomach disorder will not be punished in his tomb. [At-Tirmithi]. This reward will be for those who do not dispers their illness, but rather persevere through it and hope for the reward of Allah Theal -Might.
Β· The prophet said: Allah will protect from the tests of the tomb, any Muslim who dies on a Friday or night. [Ahmad]Β· Piety that satisfies, Allah The Almighty says what it means: {Truth, those who say: Our Lord is (alone) Allah, and subsequently they are stopped (on Islamic monotheism), on them they will not be afraid, nor do they go asleep.} [Quran, 46: 13]
