Actor Gideon Okeke is worried about poor cleanliness practices in Nollywood

Actor Nigeria Gideon Okeke openly stated concerns about what he claimed was an unhygienic practice in the Nollywood industry, especially those related to the treatment of costumes on the set.

His concern, expressed on his Instagram page, was based on a new incident where he was reportedly experiencing a leather rash from wearing a “animal leather tunic” given to him by the film clothing department.

OKEKE voiced his frustration, attracting attention to the sharp contrast between luxurious Nollywood public personalities and poor working conditions that were often experienced by the players.

He described how he took the role of the film in the epic film after being urged to take part in the more Nollywood project, but the meeting made it with unwanted souvenirs.

The actor said that he suffered a severe skin reaction from the costume he was wearing in a film posted online, showing his followers rash that had spread throughout his body.

According to him, skin irritation began immediately after he wore a traditional animal leather tunic given to him as part of his clothes for an unknown film project.

“My body is full of rashes !!! Department of Cabinets … doing nollywood crying by washing the tunic of the animal skin before handing it to the talent that is not suspicious. The actor wrote the post distributed on social media.
