He said; “First of all let us establish that we are talking about gold worth ₦91,000 when a gram of gold is ₦150,000. A gram of gold is cheaper than a grain of rice, so how can you enter the market to steal something that is worth less than a grain of rice, a grain of rice?”

The actress, who earned a BSc in Transport Planning and Management from Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2003, expressed anger at the allegations, calling it “ridiculous” that she would steal gold.

Lizzy said; “I am a certified jeweler, I sell gold and diamonds. I am also a certified cloth trader, so how can I stoop to go to Eko Idumota to steal a gram of gold? Something less than a grain of rice? That is ridiculous. I am not a thief, I will never be a thief. I am too straightforward and too disciplined to be a thief.”
