Actress Yabo Ojo connects alleged threats with life, family to Mohbad

Nollywood actress Yabo Ojo has openly expressed concern that her life and the lives of her family members are in a great danger after the video of a man carrying a coffin with his name becomes viral.

Its sustainable support for justice in the death of the singer of Iserioluwa Aloba, better known by the stage name Mohbad, is not connected to this unsettling event.

YaBo Ojo issued an emotional statement on Thursday night, July 10, 2025, on his Instagram page, revealed his surprise when he saw “the coffin was written with my name, videos that were transported by threatening my life and property, and further confirmation that my family and business venture remained endangered.”

According to the actress, the threat to her life and her family had been made against her even before this new fire at work. He blamed this threat to his political view during the latest general elections, as well as a blunt position and his support for a comprehensive investigation of Mohbad’s murder.

Yabo Ojo reiterated that he had never called certain people as responsible for Mohbad’s death. He instead claimed that he used his platform to demand justice because he emotionally responded to a disappointing video at that time. He pursued legal steps and investigations through his non-governmental organization, Pinkies Foundation.

He also discussed the petitions related to the direct video that he recorded bordering Cyberbullying, which pushed the national cyber crime center of the Nigerian police in Abuja to invite him.

” This is no longer news that I was only invited by the Nigerian Police, National Cybercrime Center, Abuja, for the petition bordering cyberbullying and other accusations about the direct video that I recorded a few years ago.

” In the video, I ask certain people to make themselves available for an investigation of Mohbad’s sudden death to prove that they are innocent or vice versa.

” Furthermore, through my non-governmental organization, the Pinkies Foundation, we wrote a letter to the Governor, the Attorney General for State, Police Commissioner, Assistant Inspector General of the Police and several others.

” In these letters, we ask for an independent and comprehensive investigation, as well as coronary examination, about the death of the deceased.

” All of these steps clearly show the fact that I have never confirmed that Mohbad’s death was caused by certain individuals. If not, I will not take legal action and investigation that I do.

” I, along with other social advocates, met with the Police Commissioner at the time, Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, the late Mr. Ayila, who at that time was the Deputy Commissioner of the Criminal Investigation of the State of Lagos and the honorable intelligence department of the honorable investigation.

” I understand that his wife, brother, and several others were also invited by the police. However, it must be noted that I cannot determine how the police should conduct an investigation.

” Unfortunately and because of my disappointment, certain people have, for years, consistently calls on my death, destruction of my livelihood, and has incited public violence against me and my children, all without intervention from the authorities.

” Without reducing the ongoing investigation, it is important to state that a few days before my daughter’s marriage in Tanzania, I received a letter that threatened my life in my office. The letter explicitly stated that I would go through hell in the next three months.

” Therefore, it is not surprising that now seeing the coffin written with my name, the videos that are -Barefaced threatens my life and property, and further confirmation that my family and business companies remain endangered.

” I am fully aware that because of my political opinion during the last election, I have experienced intimidation, sponsored attacks, and personal insults. However, those views are honest personal expressions, which I believe should not produce revenge or attacks from any individual or group of people.

” Without a little doubt, I have recently found comfort in the scriptures, which states that many people are the misery of righteous people, but God will free me from all of them.

” Apart from everything, I believe that God will eventually give me victory over the difficulties.

” My advocacy for social justice and my political attitude is undoubtedly giving me many enemies, who might explain some of the difficulties that I face today.

” I want to clarify that I have never accused anyone of being responsible for the death of Mohbad. I only react emotionally to the annoying videos circulating at the time and using my platform to ask for justice. I always seek justice through the right authority, bear all expenses personal through my foundation.

” This is entirely in the prerogative of the police to invite every individual they consider relevant to the investigation. As a private citizen, it is not in my strength or a place to direct the decision course.

” I am fully prepared to continue to respect the invitation or further police indictment, as I have done in the past, without fear.

” However, my new office was destroyed by fire. Only humane to give me emotional space and time to care for my health and welfare.

” I convey my sincere appreciation to the police authority, people who care, friends, and supporters who have been standing beside me in facing this scary challenge, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or different opinions.
