Adamawa APC condemned the ‘thugs’ action against the deputy chairman in Gombe

The Congress of all Progressive (APC) in the State of Adamawa has condemned the attack on the Deputy Chairperson of the Party, Northeast, Salihu Mustapha by criminals at party meetings in the state of Gombe.

A battle broke out during the APC North-East Forum meeting which was held last weekend at Gombe when party officials supported the Tinubu Bola President for the 2027 general election but were silent about the fate of Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The Chairperson of APC in the State of Adamawa, Alhaji Idris Shuibu, who spoke to journalists at a press conference on Thursday in Yola, accused that criminals were smuggled as delegates at the meeting by several elements in the party.

He said: “We condemn the actions of thugs who met with our son, Deputy Chairperson of the National, Northeast, Salihu Mustapha by thugs smuggled as delegates at the meeting place that marked the APC North -East Consultative Forum.

“We adopt the communication that was read by the Deputy Chairperson of the National Chair was the true position of the APC Governor Forum, members of the National Assembly, the National Work Committee and also the APC Adamawa chapter.

“We support the President of the Tinubu soccer as one of our party candidates for nomination purposes in 2027.

“We want to clarify that the actions taken by criminals in the venue have nothing to do with the meeting.

“Therefore we urge all party members to ignore it and maintain the position taken at the meeting

Shauibu urged party members to remain united and committed to the progress of parties in states and countries in general. “
