Adamawa, Bauchi, 5 others challenged the suspension of Fubara in the Supreme Court

The seven elected governors on the People’s Democratic Party Platform (PDP) have challenged the suspension of Rivers’s state partner, Siminaye Fubara, at the Supreme Court.

The Tinubu Ball President last Tuesday stated that the emergency in the river over the prolonged political crisis in the state.

He also suspended Fubara, his deputy, and members of the State Council of the State Council for six months because of their role in the crisis.

The Governors – Ahmadu Timbi (Adamawa), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Douye Self (Bayelsa), Peter Mbah (Enugu), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), and Lawal Dauda (Zamfara) – Are Challenging the President Filed by the States’ Attorney General.

President Tinubu and the National Assembly are registered as respondents in the lawsuit.

They asked the court to state that the President did not have any power or authority to suspend the Governor and Deputy Governor of the State at the Nigerian Federation which was democratically elected or in accordance with the proclamation of emergencies in any state of the federation, among other reliefs.
