Adams’ role on the bench against Valencia explained

Sevilla coach Matías Almeyda has revealed the reason for his decision to bench Akor Adams in Saturday’s home defeat to Valencia, reports completesports.com.

The rojiblancos lost at home 2-0 against Carlos Corberán’s team.

Adams was named among the substitutes and Neal Maupay started up front.

The decision backfired and Valencia scored two goals in the first half.

Almeyda admitted that he was not happy with the forward’s performance in Sevilla’s previous match against Barcelona.
