ADC is not a threat to PDP in 2027 – Makinde

The Governor of the State of Oyo, Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday rejected the threat caused by the aspirations of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 election by the adopted coalition opposition, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Makinde, who spoke to a journalist at a colloqium that was united to mark the 10th anniversary of Deji Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi held at the Federal Technology Akure University, Ondo State, said the emergence of ADC as a determinant of the opposition platform of the opposition will not affect PDP shipping at the General Coalition.

He said: “Politics is an interesting game. I don’t think it will make the dent at the PDP as a party.

“PDP is an institution. We have freedom of entering and out. Anyone who will hold PDP, is better for individuals like that to stop.

“I do not see ADC as a threat to PDP. The goal is almost the same. If you are not happy with the tempo and pace of government, you are free to get along and see what can be done.

“But one thing that we must all realize is that the players will come and go, the governor will come and go, the president will come and go but our states and countries will remain.”
