Ademola Lookman Losses Coppa Italia Final

Atalanta’s 61-year wait for the Coppa Italia trophy was extended further following their 1-0 defeat in Rome.

An early strike from Dusan Vlahovic secured Juventus’ 15th Coppa Italia title.

Despite Lookman’s impressive form leading up to the final, where he consistently found the back of the net, he was unable to score in the decisive match, playing the full 90 minutes.

This defeat is also the Nigerian’s second final defeat this year, following Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations setback earlier in the season.

Atalanta’s loss underscores their struggles in major competitions, with their only trophy being the Coppa Italia victory in 1963.

However, they have another chance to break their drought in the upcoming Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
