Aderibigbe’s late strike lifted Vittoriosa’s stars on Xghajra’s tornadoes in the Maltese Amateur League playoffs.
The exciting match that was played at Centeny Stadium on Sunday saw Aderibigbe’s blow in the 90th minute helped his team beat his opponents for a lonely goal.
Aderibigbe, who has just returned for his team after an injury, secured the three vital points in the 90th minute of the match.
His last goal was his eighth plus two assists in eight appearances for his team, since he joined Mosta FC loan in January 2025.
The former striker of the city of Ikorodu expressed his confidence that the important victory will put his team in dispute for the promotion.
Aderibigbe appreciated God for victory, while accusing his teammates to remain calm and focused before the next game.
“I can only say Lord for the important victory, today while we continue to press,” he said.
The stars of vittoriosa will block the horns with the FC of the Luqa St Andrew in their last game as they advance in the promotion of the Maltese challenge league.
