The Socio-Political Pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, has distanced themselves from a report circulating in his name which criticized the administration of the Tinubu Bola President, describing the document as fake and invalid.
In a statement issued on Thursday by Jare Ajayi, the Secretary of the National Publicity of the Organization, Afenifere stated firmly that they did not write what was called the ‘medium -term assessment’ of the federal government and urged the public to ignore it fully.
“The report was not issued by him and must be ignored by community members,” Ajayi said in a statement exempt from Ibadan, the capital of the state of Oyo.
While recognizing the current economic and security challenges faced by Nigeria, this group emphasized its commitment for constructive involvement with the government. Ajayi explained that Afenifere consistently shows an area that requires immediate attention and has made recommendations to improve the situation.
“We also understand that steps taken by the government to overcome these challenges with the intention not only to bring assistance to the suffering of the Nigerians but also to place a framework that will guarantee a healthy future for the state and the people,” the statement said.

Afenifere states optimism about the remaining half of the administrative term, hoping that the ongoing reform will begin to produce tangible results, especially in reducing transportation and food costs and increasing national security.
“We will continue to offer our support and suggestions, through existing channels, to ensure the success of all of our people’s masses,” Ajayi added.
This group also reiterated its belief in the need for state police and encouraged the government to accelerate its implementation, among other policy steps aimed at strengthening security throughout the country.
