African Games: Umofia Dominates Men’s Weightlifting

Umofia clinched three gold medals in Men’s weightlifting event on Monday afternoon.

Umofia’s stellar performance reached its pinnacle in the Men’s Weightlifting 67kg category, where he claimed the gold medal.

He lifted a remarkable 135kg in the Snatch and an impressive 165kg in the Clean and Jerk, solidifying his status as the overall best in the competition.

The cumulative effort showcased by Umofia amounted to a total lift of 300kg, securing his well-deserved place atop the podium with the coveted gold medal.

Meanwhile, his outstanding achievement takes Nigeria’s medal haul to 29 at the Games.
