Former Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, CON, has expressed his condolences over the demise of a member of the Governing Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Prince Malik Afegbua, describing him as a loyal and dedicated party man.
Agba, in a statement, said the news of Prince Afegbua’s death on Sunday took him by surprise.
According to him: “The news of the death of Prince Malik Afegbua was shocking and, undoubtedly, but painfully, his transition has deeply reduced the tribe of our party’s leadership, creating a vacuum that may be a bit difficult to fill.
“He contributed so much to the growth of the APC in Edo State, Edo North Senatorial Zone and particularly in Etsako East Local Government Area. He provided focused leadership and delivered distinguished services whenever he was called upon to serve by the party.
“Prince Malik Afegbua at one point headed the party’s reconciliation committee and took on other responsibilities, establishing himself as a force for stability in the party.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the leadership and members of the APC in Edo State and the family of Prince Malik Afegbua on his demise.
“I pray that Almighty God will grant us all the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
“Prince Maliik Afegbua will be greatly missed.
“Rest in peace, our great leader.”
