Political activists and co-convener from the Bringbackourgirls Movement, Aisha Yesufu, have sworn to work against presidential candidates from the Labor Party (LP), Peter Obi, if he accepts to become a couple who are running in the 2027 presidential election.
Yesufu, a loyal supporter of the former Governor of the State Anambra, took a stand after the launch of the coalition by several opposition politicians, including Obi, who adopted the Democratic Congress (ADC) action, in preparation for the future elections.

With speculation that the coalition is likely to reduce the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as a presidential candidate with Obi as his partner, Yesufu, in a trend video distributed on social media platforms on Friday, stating that he will work against any ticket that features Obi as a partner who is running in the 2027 presidential election.
“If Peter Obi becomes a running partner for anyone in 2027, I will work against the ticket in my small capacity,” Yesfu said in the video.
His attitude, he said, depends on his perception that women are often passed down to the position of the representative, and he believes Obi will be more suitable as a presidential candidate than the ongoing couple.
