Aiyedatiwa fires SSA, SA; appoint 1,000 new assistants

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has sacked all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) in his administration with immediate effect.

This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Akure by the Governor’s Chief Press Officer, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

According to the statement, the step is part of efforts to improve efficiency and service delivery in the state.

He expressed appreciation to the concerned helpers for their contribution towards the development of the State and wished them success in their future endeavours.

The statement also revealed that the governor will appoint around 1,000 new assistants from the 203 wards of the 18 local government areas of the state.

He added that the move aims to strengthen coordination and inject new capabilities into the administration.
