Ajax Amsterdam winger, Steven Berghuis lauded Chuba Akpom’s exceptional heading skills.

Akpom showcased his ball-heading prowess, scoring in Ajax’s 5-1 thumping of Vitesse on Saturday.

The Arsenal Academy product has been making a significant impact, and his headed goal against Vitesse brings to his tally to five for Ajax this season.

Dutch winger Berghuis says Akpom’s strong heading ability, is a quality that Ajax has found in short since the departures of some players.

“Due to the departures of Edson Álvarez, Lisandro Martínez, and Sébastien Haller, we’ve lost a significant amount of heading power,” Berghuis told ESPN as per Voetbalzone.

“We basically only have Chuba Akpom, who is good with his head.”

Berghuis also hailed the contribution of the forward as Ajax continue to move on the table after struggling start.

The former Dutch Champions are now eighth position in the Eredivisie.
