The Nigerian Gospel artist Akugod has released a new powerful single entitled “Obinigwe”, a trace that moves the soul that blends the sincere heart with rich and contemporary sound landscapes. The song, whose title means “” Father/God in heaven “in Igbo, is a profound expression of gratitude and reverence to God, reflecting the artist’s journey, faith and call.

Born Stephen Ejike Oriaku, Akugod comes from the state of Imo but was born in Kano and raised in a Christian house as one of the five brothers. From a young age, he was a lover passionate about God and a detention believer in the use of music as a channel to inspire, lift and heal.
