The general requirements for all candidates are the availability of documents, such as the certificate of higher high school “SSCE” with five credits. He should understand chemistry, health sciences, English, biology and physics. The certificates required for nursing schools are Napteb, Waec, NECO). If you aspire to become a nurse, you should know that there are different categories of nursing programs offered in nursing schools, and the admission requirements in these schools are in a certain extent.
We simplified them by highlighting the various nursing programs, their qualifications, their duration and their admission requirements below. Check to see the one that best suits your qualification.
1. Basic basic program (RM)
The candidate must be an authorized nurse and must also meet all the institutional requirements to be admitted in one of the midwifery schools.
- Study period: one (1) calendar year.
- Recording obtained: save-the company recorded (RM).
2. General nursing program (RN)
Applicants for admission to the training program in nursing care general care of the Nigeria Nursing and Midwives must have the Secondary Certificate (SSCE) of senior high school or its equivalent with five credits to include English, physics, chemistry or biology, no more than two sessions.
- Study duration: three (3) civil years.
- Registration obtained: authorized nurse (RN).
3. Baccalaureate program in nursing sciences (BNSC)
The candidate must have five credits that the level passes in Wassce / SSCE or his equivalent to no more than two sessions. The subject must include English language, chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics. Applicants must also meet all institutional requirements.
- Duration of study: five (5) civil years with a one -year internship in a recognized health care establishment.
- Registration obtained: authorized nurse (RN), registered midwife (RM), registered public health nurse (RPHN) and registered psychiatric nurse (RPN).
- Academic qualification: baccalaureate in nursing sciences (BNSC)
4.poset basic psychiatric nursing basic care
The candidate must be an authorized nurse and must also meet all the institutional requirements to be admitted in one of the eight (8) psychiatric nursing schools.
- Study period: one (1) calendar year.
- Registration obtained: recorded psychiatric nurse (RPN).
