The state government of Akwa Ibom has approved the hiring of 3,000 qualified professionals in its traditional civil service.
Akwa Ibom’s state commissioner for science and digital economy, Frank Ekpenyong, made this known through a declaration issued on Monday 28 July 2025.
Ekpenyong said that the recruitment was a strategic move to strengthen the supply of public services and guide the empowerment of young people throughout the state.
Ekpenyong said that the recruitment exercise, which crosses a wide range of disciplines and paintings, included education, health care, engineering, law, agriculture, science and administration.
The commissioner said that the assumption process would have been conducted exclusively through the work portal of the young people of the state – https://employment.akwaibomstate.gov.ng.
He described the initiative as part of the governor’s commitment to the transparency and creation of jobs through the agenda.
“These events cover all discipline and paintings, including teachers, nurses, administrators, engineers, scientists, state councils, technicians, accountants, farmers and many others,” said Ekpenyong.
Ekpenyong urged the candidates to complete their profiles on the portal by loading relevant documents as academic certificates, NYSC exhaust or exemption certificates and other credentials required before being able to apply.

The commissioner said that the ministry clarified that the candidates must request a single vacancies that aligns their qualifications and that a valid and valid address would have been the only communication channel throughout the process.
According to him, once the application is closed, the selected candidates will be notified through the portal and required to accept their online selection.
Ekpenyong observed that the selected ones would receive an interview with QR code later.
He said that some roles may request an attitude test, for which instructions and clear give through the portal will be provided.
Ekpenyong added: “Candidates should present their printed invitation briefs, original certificates and writing materials on the day of the test or interview.
“The chosen candidates will receive final notifications through the portal and will be aimed at referring to the appropriate departments for documentation and onboarding.

The commissioner revealed that the list would be by 31 July.
