Albertini compares Modric a Pirlo

The Hero of AC Milan, Demetrio Albertini, has revealed that the arrival of Luka Modric to the team has brought calm and serenity to the club.

Modric joined the Italian club this summer. The 40 -year -old midfielder already scored a goal and provided assistance in four games from Serie A.

Talk with The Gazzetta dello Sport, Albertini has compared Luka Modric with Andrea Pirlo.

“Modric has brought calm and serenity to the group. Only a great champion who plays in that role can make his teammates work better than expected. With Luka, everything is easier. Both for young players and for newcomers.

“Do you like (Andrea) Pirlo? The comparison between the two is true, and it is no accident that they are two attacker midfielders who, in the course of their careers, have returned to put their quality at the service of the team. Pirlo has changed football in that role, and now Milan has another champion in front of the defense.”
